PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Several organizations requested SDMC to come up with a Project Management Training Program. The training should result in the international recognized certified project management  certificate of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

Many organizations in Sudan are faced with urgent temporary clusters of activities. The Project Management Training Program is particularly meant for project managers/-supervisors of these organizations and for project managers and participant-experts in general. Focussing at well-defined objectives, carried out by their own employees or external contractors and experts and with a well-defined moment of conclusion.

The Project Management Training Program consists of two workshops.

The workshops are designed to the project Managers/supervisors to increase their abilities to have a strong and positive impact on their effectiveness.

In two workshops the participants are getting acquainted with improving their project management approach by action learning. In this respect they bring in their own business case, executing an assessment/quick scan, implementing improvements and evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover they develop interpersonal skills and insight in their role as project manager in order to have their recommendations more frequently implemented.

Method

A major concern about most workshops is whether the subject matter relates directly to

the participant’s job situation. To address this, SDMC uses learning situations which are drawn directly from participant’s own situations. These are build into the design of the workshops. Action learning is the teaching method: Learn by Doing. So the workshops involve a lot of doing, practice opportunities, role playing and of course participant’s personal business case.

 HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

A comprehensive 5-days course based on action learning

Managing human resources is one of the key elements in creating competitive advantage in organisations today. To a large extent this fundamental issue has been at the heart of a great deal of the analysis of how organizations coordinate and develop relationships with their people in order to ensure market leadership.

As each successive analysis of 'how to manage' has unfolded, the employment relationship has provided one of the central parts of the debate.
